Job Description:

Pilates Instructor (Activate)

Reporting to:

Facility Lead

Remuneration:

€32,000 - €40,000

Purpose of role:

Deliver world-class Pilates experiences, primarily Reformer with some Mat and 1:1/duet sessions - that help clients move better, feel stronger and stay consistent. You'll uphold studio standards, drive member retention through relationships and results, and contribute to a thriving, welcoming culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Exceptional Sessions

    • Coach Reformer & Mat classes to a high standard: clear demos, sharp verbal cues, tactile/visual corrections, intelligent regressions/progressions.

    • Keep every client seen, safe, and successful, by name, every session.

    • Prepare thoroughly with intent before you arrive.

  • Programming & Delivery

    • Implement new training phases as outlined by the Facility Lead; offer feedback on flow, level options, and equipment setup to continually refine.

    • Tailor sessions to mixed abilities; manage tempo, transitions, and timekeeping to deliver a premium, unhurried experience.

  • Member Experience & Retention

    • Build relationships that last: remember injuries, wins, and goals; log key notes promptly.

    • Support new-member onboarding and intros so nobody feels “thrown in at the deep end.”

    • Highlight bright spots and flag member issues to the CSM swiftly.

  • Standards & Facility Care

    • Open/close, set up/put down equipment, and maintain immaculate cleanliness and hygiene across the Studio and shared floors.

    • Model our values and professional standards in language, attire, and conduct.

  • Teamwork & Communication

    • Maintain required weekly coaching hours and provide class cover where needed.

    • Communicate clearly with Facility Lead and colleagues; follow SOPs and admin processes without fail.

    • Attend team meetings, CPD sessions, and contribute ideas to improve the member journey.

  • Community & Brand

    • Support in-house challenges, workshops, and events.

    • Contribute to social content (tips, technique, member wins) in line with brand guidelines.

You will be responsible for…

  • The delivery of excellence and high standards of service.

  • Ensuring deliverables continue to exceed Key Performance Indicators.

Key Attributes:

  • Warm, professional communicator who remembers names and details.

  • Technically excellent: you can spot-and-fix movement quickly and kindly.

  • Process-oriented and reliable: prep done, notes done, standards met.

  • Growth mindset: receptive to feedback; keen on ongoing education.

  • Team player who contributes to a high-performance, no-drama culture.

  • Exceptional administration and communication skills, self-motivated, and process-oriented.

  • Hardworking and committed to delivering from concept to conclusion for the role, studio, and the brand/business values.

  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and business partners.

  • Motivated and passionate about the fitness industry.

  • Willingness to work flexible hours.

Requirements

  • Comprehensive Pilates Certification with Reformer (e.g., STOTT, Polestar, BASI, Body Control, APPI or equivalent).

  • Mat Pilates Certification (minimum EQF Level 3 or equivalent; Reformer training EQF 4+ preferred).

  • Current First Aid/CPR/AED.

  • Experience: 1–2+ years teaching Reformer in a studio or boutique setting (or standout graduate with strong practical hours and references).

  • Confident with mixed-level small groups and 1:1s; comfortable with basic injuries and prenatal/postnatal considerations (within scope of practice).

  • Eligibility to work in Ireland and professional liability insurance (or willing to obtain).
